Questions have been asked regarding the code of conduct for members at Stoke-on-Trent City Council, after concern was raised that the new plans amounted to ‘gagging orders'.

The city council was quick to play down suggestions of wrongdoing, telling The MJ the new protocol had been taken out of the councillor pack, and a more informal ‘gentleman's agreement' had been set-up instead.
