City leaders press PM for growth

Plans for Birmingham city's future to be discussed by the prime minister and Birmingham City Council leader along with local political leaders.

Birmingham City Council leader, Sir Albert Bore, together with a group of local political leaders, were due to meet with the prime minister yesterday (5 September) to discuss plans for the city's future.

Liberal Democrat group leader, Cllr Paul Tilsley, and local MP, Jack Dromey – who is also a shadow local government minister – were also due to attend the meeting.
