Glasgow City Council has announced plans to introduce a blanket 20mph zone in all residential areas, in a bid to improve the city's poor health record. The proposal is among 20 from the council's health commission, set up to address Glasgow's health record. The recommendations are largely focused on children and families, and creating a child-friendly city. In addition to the 20mph proposal, the commission recommends shifting emphasis and resources towards safe, active and sustainable modes of transport.
