Manchester City Council leaders are striking ahead with plans for a new £4.5m football stadium for amateur and youth clubs, which will also provide facilities for the wider community.

Sited in Moston, north Manchester, the proposed 5,000-capacity stadium and related facilities will include a full-sized artificial pitch and two junior-sized grass pitches. The project secured planning permission last October.
