Attempts by Whitehall departments to complete the second half of Spending Review staffing cuts are more likely to involve compulsory redundancies, MPs have warned.

A report by the influential Public Accounts Committee (PAC), released on 30 August, states the second round of headcount reductions will be more challenging than the first, as the more readily-achievable workforce losses have already been made.
