Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg has pledged to force the other two main political parties to devolve more power to councils. Speaking to The MJ, Mr Clegg said: ‘I really do believe over the next two general elections one of the main objectives for me and my party is to force the established parties to agree to a radical re-evaluation of the relationship between local and central government.'
