Communities secretary, Eric Pickles, has been urged to ‘come clean' by his Labour Party shadow, Caroline Flint, over accusations that taxpayers' money was used on lawyers' fees, after a source in his department made ‘potentially defamatory' comments about Electoral Commission chair, Jenny Watson.
