Lancashire CC's lead officer on climate change, Andy Mullaney, has warned that life in the county will change irreversibly unless urgent action is taken to protect the environment. ‘We can expect more extreme heat, floods and storm events, and changes to the landscape, too,' he said. ‘Our local coastline, for instance, will be hit by increased storms and rising sea levels, and we'll see sand dune habitats change.'
