Commission organises last-ever probe into fraud and corruption

Public sector bodies have been asked to take part in the Audit Commission’s last-ever national fraud and corruption survey.

Councils, police authorities and other public sector bodies have been asked to take part in the Audit Commission's last-ever national fraud and corruption survey.

The 2011 Protecting the public purse survey went out to more than 450 organisations last week, and collects information about a wide range of fraud and corruption issues. More than 94% of organisations responded to last year's survey, which is the only one of its kind in the public sector.
