A committee formed by six councils in the south east has referred plans made by West Sussex PCT to the secretary of state for health after it found they were not in the best interested of residents. Outgoing chairman of the committee, Cllr Peter Griffiths of West Sussex CC, said: Ultimately we did not feel the decisions made by the PCT were in the best interests of the health service and the residents of West Sussex and the surrounding area.
