Buckinghamshire CC has welcomed news that it is part of the second wave of the Government's ‘community kitties' scheme. The county council is one of 12 authorities in the country chosen by Hazel Blears to pilot a extension of the scheme, which was originally announced in the summer. The authority already devolves highways funds to local communities. ‘We will work on the scheme in partnership with parish and town councils, and district councils across Buckinghamshire,' said deputy council leader, Bill Chapple.
