A government minister has defended planned procedures for police and crime commissioner elections, amid continued concerns over potential voter confusion.

In a House of Commons adjournment debate held on 25 April, Labour MP Wayne David asked ministers to confirm the Government would have secondary legislation in place at least six months before polls are held on 15 November.
