Kensington & Chelsea RLBC has extended its contract with Comensura to manage its temporary recruitment process. The council hopes the new deal will deliver additional savings of around £200,000 in 2008/9, through improved efficiency across the borough's agency staff procurement processes. The council had decided to change its temporary recruitment strategy in 2006 to be more efficient and gain greater central control over the supply of workers. ‘The Comensura solution has reduced the amount we previously spent on the procurement of temporary staff. It automates a lot of the processes involved, therefore reducing the huge amount of administration associated with procurement,' said Keeley Cooper, recruitment manager at the borough.
