Corporate Director Business and Resources - South Tyneside Council

Corporate Director Business and Resources - South Tyneside Council

South Tyneside Council is looking for an outstanding leader to join our team and deliver the next stage of our ambitious "Futures" Programme.

This is a comprehensive and complex role in a compact, yet highly effective senior team, bringing together operational, strategic and high profile outward-facing responsibilities including Newcastle International Airport and the Tyne and Wear Pension Fund.

You will match commercial acumen with strong public sector values to ensure we continue to meet the challenge of diminishing resources, whilst maintaining an unrelenting focus on the needs and aspirations of our residents.

Our investment in town centres, regeneration, housing and schools is amongst the highest of any council in the country and we have robust economic growth plans to deliver a step-change in local prosperity.

This is an exciting opportunity for a resilient, creative leader with a wide range of skills and experiences who can bring new ideas and knowledge to help us further design and integrate services to deliver outcomes for our residents.

We look forward to hearing from you.

For an informal discussion, please contact Graham Fells, Corporate Lead HR on 0191 424 7323
