Cyber data breaches in local authorities across the UK have risen by 387% in the last three years, figures have revealed.

According to data collected by the Information Commissioner's Office, cyber-attacks on local authorities increased by 387% between 2022 and 2024, while non-cyber data breaches rose by a quarter in the same period.
