Peterborough City Council was among those to send staff and emergency supplies to neighbouring Norfolk after warnings of flooding from the coastal tidal surge. The council mobilised its entire stock of emergency bedding equipment to help provide supplies to rest centres, and delivered it to Yarmouth within three hours.
