Richmond upon Thames LBC has started the process for legal action against the Government's proposed fair funding reforms.

The council plans to challenge the ‘lack of transparency and fairness in the consultation process' for the reforms, which could strip up to £45m per year – more than 90% of its current funding – from the authority.
