Two councils have won deals this week to provide communications services for other local authorities.
Cambridgeshire CC's press team has taken on the communications role of East Cambridgeshire DC, in a £50,000 per annum deal. The county hired Tony Taylorson as communications and media manager to promote the district. Richmond LBC has renewed its contract with Westminster City Council to run the comms for the outer London Borough in a £447,000 deal. The contract looked set to end after Richmond changed from Tory to Lib Dem control in May.
