The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs' 2005/06 financial year WasteDataFlow statistics reveal a decrease in total municipal waste, a further increase in recycling, and a decrease in amounts sent to landfill. This is the second year results have been based on information supplied by local authorities. There was a 100% response.
