The ODPM has taken 59 councils off a blacklist of poorly- performing planning authorities. Minister Baroness Andrews announced last week that the councils would no longer be designated as Planning Standards Authorities, following performance improvements. The 59 include seven authorities – Oxford and ~Southampton City Council~ , Harrow and Hillingdon LBCs, Mid Devon DC, ~West Berkshire Council~ and Windsor and Maidenhead RBC – that have been on the list for four years.
