More councils fail parents over childcare provision

According to a leading charity, four fifths of councils in England are unable to provide sufficient childcare for working parents.

Four fifths of councils in England are unable to provide sufficient childcare for working parents with children aged two and under, according to a leading charity.

A survey published by the Daycare Trust and the Family and Parenting Institute on 6 March claims just 20% of local authorities provide sufficient childcare for children in that age range.
