A total of 30 areas are in the running for one of two ‘radical' community budget pilot schemes, following publication of a shortlist by the DCLG.
In the first scheme, two local authorities and partners will set experimental ‘whole place' budgets, co-designing how to implement a single budget encompassing all public services within an area.
