Prime minister, David Cameron, has warned some councils need a ‘slap' – rather than a ‘nudge' – to work more closely with local firms.

Speaking last week, Mr Cameron warned councils should become more ‘business friendly', and said the Government would offer more incentives to local government to encourage the sector to develop better links with private enterprise.
