Business leaders have called on councils to make a sustained effort to encourage high street growth, after the Government announced its response to the Mary Portas review.
The national chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses, John Walker, said the key to economic revival was getting ‘councils to commit fully' to an agenda of long-term growth.
