Norfolk and Kent county councils have stepped up their campaigns against post office closures. Norfolk CC formally agreed to oppose the government programme for post office closures last week. And this has been supported by South Norfolk DC which has drawn up its own action plan to fight the proposals. Kent CC leader, Paul Carter, is also leading a campaign to back the county's post offices against closure. The council has launched a crusade to make residents aware of the need to use post offices.
