Cornwall CC could set up a new joint venture trading company with a private firm to create 400 new jobs and save the authority £2.5m.
The council's cabinet met yesterday (Wednesday), after The MJ went to press, to discuss plans to create a new, shared services organisation, which could bid for contracts with other public sector bodies across the country.
