A new director has been appointed to head up the ~County Councils Network~ Dr Caroline Cunningham, formerly deputy director of the special interest group within the ~Local Government Association~ has taken the job with immediate effect, following ~John Sellgren~'s departure this month to become director of communications at Hertfordshire CC.

Before arriving at the CCN in November 2004, Dr Cunningham was employed as business manager for Essex CC, head of policy for Norfolk CC, and principal policy officer for Suffolk CC.
