Leicestershire CC's corporate governance committee has agreed to take no further action against former Conservative leader David Parsons over allegations of breaching the members' code of conduct.

Mr Parsons, who stepped down as Leicestershire leader last July, did not seek re-election in May's county polls. But, he retains a seat in Blaby DC, where, alongside his wife Elizabeth, he serves as an independent councillor.
