Senior managers and councillors in Pembrokeshire have been slated for ‘long-standing and systematic failures' in services for the safeguarding and protection of children in education services.
A joint report published by the inspectorate for education Estyn and the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW), says: ‘There has been a lack of oversight by members and officers, at the most senior level within the authority, of the management and handling of cases of alleged professional abuse in education services.'
