Norfolk CC has hit back at former local government minister, Bob Neill, after he accused the authority of adopting an ‘extremely complex' code of conduct in a parliamentary debate on standards last week.
The east of England local authority has written to Mr Neill to ‘set the record straight', stating it uses the ‘short, light touch' code recommended by the Local Government Association.
