Warwickshire CC has been in consultation with Post Office Ltd to move post offices into council venues, and save them from closure. Consultation has been ongoing since last summer, and an agreement has already been signed over Warwick post office, which will relocate into Warwickshire Direct, the council's new one-stop shop in Shire Hall. The council has also suggested other outlets, which could deliver post office services, including local libraries. ‘We don't want to see essential local services such as post offices close, which is why we want to talk to Post Office Ltd and examine how we can avoid post office closures,' said council leader, Alan Farnell.
