Nottinghamshire CC has announced it will invest in a £13m Sherwood Forest visitor attraction that could boost the local economy and protect the legendary home of Robin Hood.

The planned site will include a Discover Robin Hood centre, as well as a café and shop. It will promote the legend and life of the all-action figure and his band of merry men, as well as the ancient natural habitat from which they battled the sheriff of Nottingham.
