The Court of Appeal has ruled that Serco did not act unlawfully when it sacked a BNP councillor. Arthur Redfearn, who worked for a subsidiary in Bradford, was dismissed in 2004 after he was elected as a BNP councillor in the city. He was sacked because of fears his association with the BNP would pose a health and safety risk.
