Hampshire CC's head of IT, Jos Creese, has been appointed as the new president of SOCITM. Mr Creese has more than 20 years' experience in IT management, and has worked at Hampshire CC since 2002. He said his main priority was to help the public sector realise how technology could help it modernise services. Mr Creese is also the chair of the Local Public Services Chief Information Office (CIO) Council, and a member of the National CIO Council, representing local government. ‘The influence Mr Creese can bring nationally through SOCITM to ensure IT supports efficient public services is very welcome,' said Hampshire CC leader, Cllr Ken Thornber.
