Criticism of government delay to SEND reforms

The County Councils Network (CCN) has hit out at the Government's decision to delay setting out reforms to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

In a letter to Helen Hayes, chair of the education select committee, education secretary Bridget Phillipson said she had ‘taken the decision to have a further period of co-creation, testing our proposals with the people who matter most in this reform – the families – alongside teachers and other experts'.
