Officials from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government will join a new cross-Whitehall taskforce aimed at speeding up development on publicly-owned land.

Ministers have announced thousands of homes will be built on land owned by the Ministry of Defence and Network Rail in a drive to meet the Government's housebuilding goals.
