Rushcliffe BC, in Nottinghamshire, and Charnwood BC, in Leicestershire, are planning to be the first councils in the country to share services across county boundaries. The councils have signed a deal to share and are now looking for a private sector partner. The authorities have been working together over the last 18 months to finalise the deal, and the partnership should go live in the summer.
