Councillors in Fife have welcomed the Scottish Executive commitment to building a new Forth crossing. Cllr Mike Rumney, chair of Fife's environment and development committee, said the agreement was a ‘welcome relief' but added: ‘Questions still remain over funding. It's our hope that decisions will be taken swiftly. ‘We have a limited time before we face restrictions on the existing bridge.'
