Unison, has written to the prime minister demanding an urgent rethink over plans to localise council tax benefits from next April.

Local government's largest trade union, Unison, has written to prime minister David Cameron demanding an urgent rethink over plans to localise council tax benefits (CTB) from next April.

According to Unison general secretary, Dave Prentis, the CTB changes threaten to wipe out any gains that low paid families could make from changes to tax allowances, which take effect at the same time.
