Cumbria CC and communications giant BT have signed a £51m contract to roll out super-fast broadband across the county by the end of 2015.
‘Although we're still awaiting the final green light from the Government, signing this contract is a clear message that Cumbria is ready for action,' said cabinet member for Connecting Cumbria, Cllr Elizabeth Mallinson.
