Nottingham City Council named Ian Curryer as its new chief executive on 10 December, following the resignation of Jane Todd, earlier this year, on health grounds.
Mr Curryer is currently the council's corporate director for children and families, and has been a Nottingham resident for more than 30 years. He joined the council in 1999, and has held a variety of director-level posts.
