Good news for entrants to The MJ awards – the deadline date for receipt of entries has been extended by a fortnight to 30 January. There are plenty of excellent local authority services which deserve wide publicity. And with the current economic downturn, it is even more important for councils to show how well they are serving their communities. Entries should be submitted online in the form of a 100-word summary and 2,000-word entry, and entry forms can be downloaded from www.localgov.co.uk/ mjawards.
