The debate about the need for NHS reform is slowly beginning to stir within the Labour Party.

I didn’t post about this stirring at my first sighting a few weeks ago because one flutter in the foliage doesn’t necessary mean that something is really happening. But now, after a couple more sightings, I think we can safely say that, within the Labour Party, we really can see the return of NHS reform as a policy discussion.

Of course there is a long way to go before any NHS reform policy will be completed. The calendar tells us that there is now less time before the 2015 election than since the last election. So time is running out both for the Government to try and re-establish its credentials and for the opposition to establish its own reform policy.
