Experts have slammed a decision by ministers to limit a consultation on the listed building consents system to just four weeks.

Experts have slammed as ‘unhelpful and ill-judged' a decision by ministers to limit a consultation on the listed building consents (LBC) system to just four weeks.

Proposed government reforms include replacing council officers' recommendations for listed-building status with decisions made by accredited agents. The consultation period runs from 26 July to 23 August.
