South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils may be hurtling towards local government reorganisation (LGR), but merging authorities is not a new experience. The pair shared services in 2007 before becoming fully merged in 2014.
It was a gradual shift – as opposed to the breakneck pace of the current round of LGR – but they have made it work.
