A review of education grants has been launched to help decide a key funding formula. Local authorities have been urged by the Department for Children, Schools and Families to give their feedback on terms of reference for the review of the formula for distributing the Dedicated Schools Grant from 2011-12. The formula provides core funding for schools to local authorities through the Spend Plus methodology. The review aims to produce a single, transparent formula available for use from 2011-12.
