Derbyshire CC has appointed a new strategic director for children and younger adults. Ian Thomas, acting deputy strategic director, will take over from Bruce Buckley, who is leaving the post after more than 40 years.
Mr Thomas joined the authority in 2006 as assistant director of resources, and was appointed acting deputy strategic director in April this year, having previously worked for Trafford MBC.
