A Surrey CC director is also set to become the chief executive of Mole Valley DC in what is believed to be a first joint arrangement of its kind in local government.
Yvonne Rees, currently strategic director for customers and communities at Surrey CC, will also take over as interim chief executive at the district council when Darren Mepham leaves in September to become the top officer at Bridgend CBC.
