Academics are to undertake a detailed examination of the impact of Bristol's new directly-elected mayoral structure.
Local democracy experts from the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol) and Bristol University have teamed up to conduct the study, which has the backing of Bristol City Council, ahead of inaugural city-mayor elections to be held on 15 November.
