Director Of Children's Services at Wirral

Wirral Council is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to champion our young people.

Our services for Children and Young People are nationally recognised for achieving consistently outstanding results. This is a unique opportunity to lead and drive further improvements to already excellent services. A new senior leadership team is in place across the Council, driving an ambitious improvement agenda of national significance. This role provides an opportunity to play a major role in this journey, as well as develop our already strong partnership arrangements and become a part of the Wirral family. Despite the financial challenges we are facing, we believe these factors combine to make Wirral Council one of the most exciting Councils to work for in the UK.

The successful applicant for this role will play a major role and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of successful strategic leadership within the public sector, driving service improvements for the benefit of all Wirral children and families.

For more information about this unique opportunity please visit our website or call Jonathan Swain at Penna on 07500961727.

Closing date: Friday 22nd February 2013.
